Ms. Ip Wing Yuk resigned as the chairperson of The Hong Kong, China Weightlifting and Powerlifting Association Limited on May 23, 2024 due to personal reasons. The work of Chairperson will be taken up by 1st Vice Chairman, Mr. Yu Sum Por.

IPF Constitution (Rules Article 14)
According to IPF clauses, athletes are prohibited to participate any competition or display organized by organizations not affiliated to the association such as HKPF or USAPL HK. If applicants participated in the relevant competitions 24 months before and would like to apply for membership, application will be considered individually. Applicants must agree to do an anti-doping test.
